I am an entrepreneur, husband, father, coach, teacher and enthusiast for many things including politics, sports, outdoors, cooking and more. I like to lead an active life and I love to cycle, ski, golf, hike, boat and coach sports.
As an entrepreneur I am the Founder, President and COO of NameMedia, Inc.. NameMedia is a venture backed online media and commerce company based in Massachusetts. We have built one of the largest domain portfolios in the world today leveraging our trading operations for the buying and selling of domains. NameMedia is also developing domains into media properties for Direct Search, eCommerce, Premium Web Sites and Social Networking. Today the NameMedia Network of web sites serves an Internet audience of over 60 million visitors each month.
I have a strong interest in the evolution of Social Media and I am leveraging my expertise in this field at NameMedia and through other activities. One activity is dedicating time to publish Jeff Bennett Blog. I am also on the Board of Directors of RatePoint.Com and SwapTree.Com, both venture backed companies focused on social media and commerce. In addition I am involved as a mentor in the acclaimed Tech Stars program where I am helping young entrepreneurs.
I believe that we all have an opportunity to learn from each other whether we agree or not. Blogs are great ways to communicate and share and I will dedicate these pages to do just this on this blog.
